What is the biggest change?

The Links-Files-Images sidebar on the right is gone. You will find this information in the drop-down menus identified below. Some of the buttons have moved below the text box [5]: Keyboard shortcuts, Accessibility Checker, HTML Editor, and a new Full Screen Mode (click Escape to exit). The eight dots allow you to resize the screen if you don't need to go Full Screen Mode.

From the Links [1] icon, add external or course links (more on that below). The Images [2], Media [3], and Documents [4] icons will allow you to upload or link to content in Course Files or User Files.

Depending on the size of your screen, some items may be lurking behind the three dots or the 'plug' [6].

Now you can drag and drop images/files from your desktop onto the page! Canvas will keep a copy of the item in Files as well.

Upload File drag and drop screen

Missing your file folder structure? It's still there, but with a few more clicks:

Step 1: Add new Course File, the 'Add' window will pop out on the right:

Step 2: From the 'Documents' drop-down select 'All.'  You can also search by Date Added or Alphabetical.

If you select 'Links' instead of 'Course Files,' you will see existing course content (e.g., Modules, Pages, Assignments, Discussions, etc.). Canvas will display if the item is published or not.
