During the pandemic, the provost's office purchased a university-wide license for Proctorio Remote Proctor to ease the immediate transition we made to emergency online instruction and continued to provide financial support for remote proctoring centrally. However, the provost's office will no longer provide financial support for remote proctoring. If you wish to use a remote proctoring solution, we advise you to connect with your department or Dean's office to determine whether they plan to support remote proctoring financially. Not all colleges, schools, and units are involved with the Honorlock contract.

The university's Academic Integrity Committee issued a Report on Online Testing and Assessment Links to an external site. on the use of online proctoring tools and offered a variety of alternatives. If you are interested in consultation on assessment alternatives, please get in touch with the Center for Teaching and Learning Links to an external site.. If you need technical assistance, please contact the ITS - Teaching, Learning, & Collaboration team.

    • Room Scan -Requires that the exam taker show a 360 degree view of their testing environment and there will be onscreen messaging informing them of this. If you are requesting your exam takers show certain items - blank scratch paper, their cell phone being placed out of reach, etc. Use the Additional Instructions Section below to detail out what you’d like your exam takers to do for the Room scan.

When adding your URLs in the box below, please make sure you click “Add Site” for each page you’re granting access to. Please include the link to that site or resources within the question stem itself, or the exam instructions so students can click on it. These will be available before the exam before they launch proctoring and during the exam in the student toolbar.
