Links to an external site.data. If you wish to install an LTI tool not available on this list, please follow these steps:
1. Determine if the LTI tool is using FERPA data. FERPA data may include course enrollment data, assignment submission data, and/or student grades. If you are unsure, please contact canvas@utlists.utexas.edu.
2. If FERPA data are being used, additional steps are necessary to ensure data is protected and agreements are in place with the vendor and our Business Contracts office. Please contact the Information Security Office (ISO) to ensure the LTI adheres to the ISO requirements. Important ISO vendor and application requirements can be viewed at: https://security.utexas.edu/risk/appreg

3. A business contract is required to integrate an LTI into Canvas. Please collaborate with your business department to secure a business contract.

MS Teams is an app to help you collaborate, communicate, and share files in a single area with a select group of people. You can manage access for the entire team and create channels or groups to allow sub-sets of employees/students to work and communicate on different topics. |

Zoom allows students, faculty and staff to host meetings with up to 300 attendees. Those you invite can join by phone, app, or the web to get started. You can share your screen (PowerPoint slides), use the built-in whiteboard, answer questions in Chat and divide your participants into Breakout Rooms. Meetings can be recorded and posted to your Canvas course. |

Panopto is a video platform faculty can use to create course materials. Instructors can create asynchronous materials like video recordings, lecturing with PowerPoint or Keynote, and other video inputs like document cameras. Live streaming is also available for synchronous lecture capture and one-way audio/video delivery to students. Instructors can create Panopto "assignments" in Canvas and students can share their work in Panopto with other classmates. |

Canvas Chat |
Once Canvas Chat has been enabled in your course, the Chat tool can be used for real-time conversation with course users. Any user in the course can participate in a chat conversation and view all chat content. Instructors can use the chat tool to allow students to contact them when online, create virtual office hours, conduct group discussions or study sessions. |
