Submit peer reviews of two classmates' reports and videos via the Peer Review function attached to that assignment. Provide a constructive critique with enough detail and suggestions that you would find it useful in improving your own work. Specifically address the elements listed below.
REPORT:
1. Is the goal of their modifications clear? If so, summarize their goal(s) in one or two sentences. If it’s not clear, suggest how they might clarify this.
2. Do they provide adequate background justifying their modifications? In other words, do they incorporate research showing how these modifications would improve the model, or do they seem to be guessing or working based on a ‘hunch?’
3. What, if anything, is unclear about their implementation?
4. Do they clearly motivate the experiments that they run and present clearly justified hypotheses regarding the expected results?
5. Do they thoroughly explain and interpret their results, including with regards to their hypotheses? Do you agree with their interpretation? Why or why not?
6. Do the sections of their report flow logically from one to the next? Do they make effective use of subheadings and other structural elements similar to a conference paper? If not, how can they improve this?
VIDEO:
1. Does the video capture all of the highlights of the report in a succinct and engaging way?
2. Do the creators present the information in a way that would make sense to a non-expert audience? Do they use too much jargon or assume too much background knowledge on the part of the viewer?
3. How are the production values of the video? Are the most important elements easy to see, hear, and understand?
During the final week of class, we expect to discuss class projects. Be prepared to discuss your own project as well as the ones you reviewed.
