Creating a UT Creates Account

Signing up for an Account:

1. Go to https://utcreates.org Links to an external site.
2. Select the “Get Started” link on the left side of the screen above where you see “Web Literacy.”

3. Log in with your UT EID and password.

4. Complete the Multi-Factor Authentication Requirement.

5. You will then be taken back to the home screen, but should now see your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

6. Select “Get Started” again.

7. You will now complete a request form. First, you will enter in your first and last name, and your UT affiliated email address.

8. Next, you will enter in your preferred domain name. This can be up to 20 characters long and will be in front of utcreates.org in the URL for your site. You will also select if you are an undergraduate, graduate, faculty or staff.

9. Last, please share a brief description of what you will be working on using your UT Creates site, and then select “Submit.”

10. You have now submitted your request. You will receive an email when your account has been approved (approximately 2 business days).

 

After Receiving Approval for Your UT Creates Account:

1. Return to https://utcreates.org Links to an external site.
2. Log in to UT Creates by selecting “Login” in the upper right corner of your screen.

3. Complete the Multi-Factor Authentication Requirement.

4. You will then be taken back to the homepage, but you will now see a black bar at the top of your screen. Select the “Get Started” button again.

5. You will now choose the sub-domain for your site that will be placed in front of utcreates.org in your URL. Once you have entered what you would like for your sub-domain, you can check to see if it is available by selecting the “Check” button.

6. If it is available, you will be taken to a page to review your selection. Select “Continue” if you would like to continue with that sub-domain. Select “Start Over” if you would like to select a new sub-domain.

7. You will now need to agree to the terms of service. Review the terms of service. If you agree, please select the check box and select “Complete Signup.”

8. Your sign up is now confirmed. You will receive an email confirmation will your sign up information.
9. You will now be redirected to your dashboard.
