True Panopto Remote- laptop video captured via HDMI, external camera and microphone
"True" Panopto Remote here refers to a scheduled recording session on Panopto Remote hardware separate from the faculty members laptop.
Faculty participation here just means plugging their laptop into an HDMI cable. Using any kind of room microphone in a larger room is unlikely to produce decent results. Web camera's like the Logitech c900 series do well in smaller rooms.
This one is kind of hard to figure out. The first thing to do is pop out of the embed into the full Panopto player. Then note at the bottom you can choose between a camera input, and two screen inputs. The "camera" input is actually the HDMI input from the faculty laptop. The other screens are the screens on the Primary and Secondary Remote Recorders to monitor their loads. These would not be used by faculty.
