Using Panopto Mobile to capture video with your iPhone

Step-by-step instructions

1. First, navigate to the App Store on your iPhone device.

2. Search 'Panopto Mobile' and download the first result: Panopto. Make sure that the application thumbnail has a 'NEW' strip across it. 

3. Open the application and you will be directed to this screen. Enter your UT affiliated email address. After doing so, select 'Next'. 

4. Panopto will then take you to UT's Panopto site. Tap on 'Continue' when prompted.

5. Make sure 'EID Login' is the selected method within the dropdown menu. Sign-in with your UT EID login credentials and complete the two-factor authentication process. 

6. After logging into the Panopto mobile application, tap on the plus sign in the bottom-right corner and 'Record a Video' to start your recording.

7. Tap on the red button to start and end your recording. You may flip the camera view if necessary. 

8. Once you are finished recording, tap on 'Done' for the video to be uploaded and processed into your Panopto video folder. During processing, Panopto's automatic speech recognition feature will create a synchronized transcript.

9. Once the video has been completely processed, you can tap on your video to start watching.
