Recording PowerPoint with Panopto Capture ( or Prezi, KeyNote, Google Slides, .pdf, etc.)- Staff

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open the Panopto Capture recorder and go to the Screens and Apps tab in the upper right.
    
   
2. This opens a dialogue box allowing you to choose which content to record.
   Open the Window tab and select your PowerPoint presentation.
   Alternatively, you can select Entire Screen. However, this approach may prevent you from seeing your video stream as you record.
   Click Share.
    
   
   
3. Use PowerPoint presentation mode for best results. Click the red button to begin recording your presentation. Click it again when you have finished recording.
   Note: Sharing the PowerPoint window allows me to see both my presentation and video stream in the Panopto Capture recorder.
    
   
   
4. Panopto shows a new window while your video is processing.
   You may edit information about your video at this time.
   Note: It is safe to close this dialogue while your video is processing.
   
   
5. That's it! You can now view and edit your recorded presentation in Panopto.
