Recording Better Video (changing Capture settings) with Panopto Capture

Step-by-step instructions

1. Sign in to Canvas (https://canvas.utexas.edu/ (Links to an external site.)) and navigate to the course you are creating video for.

2. Select Panopto Video from the left-hand menu.

3. Click the Create dropdown and select Panopto Capture to record video with the web app. Your students will be able to see any video you record into this folder.

4. Panopto Capture opens in a new browser tab. You may need to allow access to your microphone and camera to proceed. Click the settings icon in the bottom right corner of the interface.

5. Select your desired video quality under the Recording options, by default it will be set at Standard Definition. 

6. That's it! Close menu to start recording in Panopto Capture with improved video quality.
