Panopto FAQ

Q. How do I get lectures that were recorded in the classroom into my course?

A. Classes that are recorded via Pharmacy's integrated Panopto recorders (available in PHR 2.208, PHR 3.106 and PHR 4.114) will appear automatically in your course about 1 hour after the end of class. Not every class that meets in these classrooms are recorded however. Pharm.D. core curriculum is recorded by default but please check with the LRC to schedule other class, seminars or meeting recordings.

Q. I have a student with an ADA hard-of-hearing or deaf accommodation. How do I ensure my Canvas videos are captioned properly?

A. Create an LRC Ticket Links to an external site. (use the Panopto option) and request that your Canvas Panopto default folder be enabled for 3Play Media 1-day captioning. After you receive confirmation that this has been done, any videos that are created or uploaded to this default folder will be captioned using our approved caption provider.

Q. What rooms use Panopto lecture capture?

A. PHR 2.208, PHR 3.106 and PHR 4.114

   Q. What do the other rooms use for lecture capture?

     A. The only other classrooms with classroom recording equipment are PHR 2.108 and PHR 2.110 which have lecture capture systems managed by UT Liberal Arts called "Lectures Online Links to an external site.".

Q. How do I move Panopto recordings from one Canvas course to another?

A. See this LAITS help document: Copying or Moving Media in Panopto Links to an external site.
