Exercise 8b: UI Principles Exercise

Using the reading and the video posted to Canvas, please review the UI principles to improve the design of the user interface of a system or website. Once you have reviewed the materials, select a website that meets the following criteria:

• Is for a local organization (e.g. local church/synagogue, local gym, student organization at UT), not a national or global organization (e.g. Apple, Google)
• Has 10 or fewer pages within the site
• Is not the website for your client project

Create a Word document (submitted as PDF) to answer the following questions:

• URL of the organization
• Short description of the organization
• Short description of what you think the purpose of the website is (NOT the purpose of the organization)
• What is the color palette and what does it convey about the website/organization? Is the palette appropriate?

• What changes to the site do you recommend based on the violations/color palette selected?
