Review the text of the program page on MyAbroad Portal, make sure the text is accurate and engaging
Consider requesting marketing materials from your provider, if you are using one
You may also want to create a web-page on your College/School's web-page that students can access through your department’s website
Reach out to alumni to see if they have a blog or testimonial blurb to share
Since students are accustomed to using social media in their everyday life, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube can be a great platforms for promotion

Going Virtual
Recruitment for education abroad programs usually take a multi-faceted approach and be led by the faculty member/program director. The most recent statistics state that roughly 45 to 50 percent of UT students are choosing to attend online-only classes this fall. During this time, we recommend evaluating your department's recruitment strategy to see how it can be adapted to a virtual model. Here are a few tips to get your department started:
Consider offering virtual informational sessions via Zoom
Create a program flyer that can be emailed to Advisors and prospective students
Identify virtual events within your department to advertise your program
Create a powerpoint slide to share with faculty in your department, and ask if they can show the slide at the end of their class
Create an email communication plan to use with those email addresses you’ve gathered – send group and individual emails to students to alert them of upcoming deadlines
