By this point you should have your data files for your project. This assignment ensures that you are progressing well and identifying issues that need to be resolved to make your project work.
You should upload a PDF that contains
a screenshot of each of your input data sources (try using the unix command "head" on your csv, then take a screenshot of terminal) e.g.,
If you have many inputs sources of the same format, just one file per format is fine. Include the full path to the file on Holden (i.e., the output of the unix commands "ls myfile.csv" and "pwd" on the commandline.
Your code to a) read the CSV, and b) insert data into your database.
For each step, if you can't get it working you can get full points for this assignment by:
Describing how you would do the process manually (e.g., copy and paste, hand edit a row etc.)
Identifying the issues that you need to solve to get it working in Python and providing steps that you are going to follow to resolve the issues. e.g.,
This field needs to be transformed to a MySQL datetime format, I expect to be able to do that after the "Data Transforms" screencasts.
I don't know how to parse this CSV, it isn't in a rectangular CSV format. I've tried ... I expect to know how to do this after the future screencasts or I've booked time to meet with James or the TA to figure this one out.
My data is stuck in an HTML table/PDF file and I've tried <a list of things> but none of them work (explain why not).
Can't change a rubric once you've started using it.
